Specific One-Off Artsmark Opportunities
We have two pre-prepared packages we can offer schools -
“Cynisca of Sparta”
This one-day package offers Key Stage 2 the unique opportunity to engage with and perform a bespoke script written in the style of Ancient Greek theatre for young people.
Led by Gertie Whitfield, the workshops will enable the pupils to effectively experience the entire play in a day.
Pupils will also learn about Ancient Greek culture through the story of Cynisca, the first woman to enter and win the Olympics.
In addition to actively engaging with an exciting, inspiring and inclusive artistic experience –

"Ernest"
This one-day package offers Key Stage 2 the unique opportunity to engage with and perform a bespoke script telling the true story of Ernest Misson, a Sheffield schoolboy, and his experience of World War One.
Led by Gertie Whitfield, the workshops will enable the pupils to effectively experience the entire play in a day.
Pupils will learn about the lives and experiences of Sheffield children and families during World War One.
In addition to actively engaging with an exciting, inspiring and inclusive artistic experience –
The Drama will include:
- three people playing one role
- working on an open or thrust stage
- addressing the audience
- a true World War One Home Front story
- an understanding of the era and structure of First World War society
- a taste of school life
